Now that Obama’s “Brand New Shiny Democrats” took over the Big Tent, I feel left out standing in the rain.

Women’s rights, Voter Rights, Civil Rights, GLBT rights, Habeus Corpus, all fall under HUMAN RIGHTS.  The Democrats of the not to distant past (i.e. before the Chicago Machine took over) vehemently defended Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness for all people, no matter who they are.  And just to have the first African-American president in office all these rights, particularly voter rights, have been trampled underneath the clamor of “Yes We Can.”

I don’t know what to say yet except I’m not a Brand New Shiny Democrat of the Obama persuasion. I’m an old, tried and true Liberal of the Old Coalition trying to make sense of all this “W” is now an “O” nonsense. I am a Conflucian proud & true – but it’s a new chapter and we have to move FORWARD to grow our coalition. I’ll still post there as well as here.  We are PUMAs, that loud and hellacious group that defended Democracy.
